PAH-free and REACH approved base layer

In a world with an ever-increasing focus on green solutions and thus greater requirements for testing of materials used on e.g. playgrounds, it is important to be able to offer proven solutions. Until now, the base layers in molded rubber pavements have primarily been made from old car tires (SBR).This method is relatively cheap and ensures that the end product is affordable to the customer, but the origin of the raw material can be difficult to trace and control. Although this solution is still widely used, there is an increasing demand for alternative solutions consisting of 100% new material, which is also free of PAH substances and REACH tested.

At Safefloor, we offer several alternative rubber coatings without an SBR base layer, but with the same good elastic and safe properties.

Softbase+ consists of 100% newly produced EPDM. The fibrous material form ensures the best fall protection properties and an optimized material consumption as well as great permeability.
Softbase+ is made from high-quality raw materials, PAH-free and 100% REACH compliant. All requirements for modern fall protection are met.

 Greenbase is produced from expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU). The balls are extremely shock absorbent and at the same time much lighter than rubber.
Greenbase can be recycled, is PAH-free and meets the requirements of the REACH regulation.
