Optimal maintenance of padel courts: Infill sand is the key to longevity and sustainability

Optimal maintenance of padel courts: Infill sand is the key to longevity and sustainability

To ensure that your padel court always delivers the best playing experience, it is crucial to maintain the artificial grass correctly – and that starts with infill sand. Unfortunately, many clubs overlook this important aspect, but the sand plays a central role in maintaining the optimal properties of the pitch and ensuring a longer lifespan for the artificial grass. Especially in the serving areas on the padel courts, the sand is "massaged" away during use, and it should therefore be checked often and possibly refilled with sand in these areas in particular.

By regularly refilling the infill sand on your padel court, you can reduce wear and tear and extend the life of the court. This not only means that the track lasts longer and looks better – it is also an important effort for the environment. By extending the intervals between replacements of the artificial grass, you minimize resource consumption and the amount of waste, which makes your club more sustainable.
Of course, it's not just about replenishing infill sand on the pitch; it is also crucial to distribute the sand evenly over the entire pitch surface. In the same carrying, you can also keep an eye on and remove waste or other unwanted objects, so that the track always appears clean and well-maintained.

The cleaning of the artificial grass may carried out with a special machine, which can "remove" the sand, clean it, and put it back in the artificial grass again.

Choose the right type of infill sand.
For padel courts, we recommend oven-dried quartz sand with a grain size of 0.25-0.71 mm. We deliver the sand on a pallet in 15 kg bags, which makes it easy and ergonomic to handle.

A practical tip: If you have space in the club, you should always have a pallet with infill sand ready. In this way, you avoid running out and ensure that the tracks are always in top shape. This can also help to reduce the cost of urgent purchase and transport of sand, ultimately saving both time and money.

In addition, it is worth remembering that optimal padel courts are not only about maintenance – it is also about retaining and attracting members. Players notice the quality of the court, and a well-maintained padel court can be a strong card when it comes to creating satisfaction and loyalty among club members. By investing in the maintenance of the pitches, you can therefore also invest in the club's future and attract more players.

Don't forget to prioritize the maintenance of Padel infill sand – your court, your players, the environment and the club's growth depend on it.
